Baking with Essential Oils

This is a Young Living Essential Oils recipe and should only be made with Young Living Vitality Essential Oils. The reason for this being, Young Living goes to great lengths to ensure their products are the finest therapuetic grade essential oils and are safe to consume.

Do not, I repeat, do NOT go to your local store and pick up “essential oils” off a shelf and think they are safe to consume.

Young Living has created their Vitality line specifically to be used in recipes such as this. If you aren’t careful when using concentrated essential oils your recipe may taste too strong. Be sure to follow a recipe closely if you’re new to baking with essential oils.

Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Muffins

Fall is here and that means its time to bake your favorite pumpkin goodies again! These Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Muffins are the perfect fall breakfast!

Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Muffins

  • 3/4 c Gary's True Grit Gluten-Free Pancake and Waffle Mix (Young Living)
  • 1/4 c + 2T Coconut Sugar
  • 1/2 t Baking Powder
  • 1/8 t Baking Soda
  • 1 pinch Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 c + 2T Unsweetened Pumpkin Puree
  • 3 T Coconut Oil (Melted)
  • 1/4 c Plain Yogurt
  • 1/2 t Vanilla Extract
  • 2 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality Essential Oil (Young Living)
  • 2 drops Nutmeg Vitality Essential Oil (Young Living)
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a six-cup muffin pan with liners.

  2. Whisk the pancake mix, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Whisk the egg, pumpkin puree, coconut oil, yogurt, vanilla, and Vitality essential oils together in a separate bowl. Stir the flour mixture into the pumpkin mixture until well combined.

  3. Fill the prepared muffin cups evenly with batter.

  4. Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean; about 15-17 minutes. Cool the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes; Then turn out m uffins to cool completely.

  5. *Optional – Garnish with baked pumpkin seeds.
