Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Spring has sprung so we’ve run away to Disney again! This time it’s to take part in the annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Disney never disappoints me but they’ve really outdone themselves this time! The Flower and Garden festival is amazing even on a rainy day!!

Rain, Rain, Go Away, the Flower and Garden Fest is here today!

Well yes, the day we were able to go it was rainy but it didn’t put a damper on our day! The topiaries were outstanding! From the moment you walk in you’re surrounded by an abundance of floral scents and colors. It’s impossible to not be uplifted.

The topiaries really come alive!

Daisy Duck was captivating as always.

Make a stop in Italy to see Lady and the Tramp!

Over in the Outpost, Rafiki and baby Simba light up the character spot.

As usual, the festival offered themed foods as well and we definitely got our fill!

Our first stop was by the Honey Bee-stro for Honey Tandoori Chicken Flatbread, Honey-Peach Cobbler Freeze, and Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake for dessert! The cheesecake was definitely the winner at this stop! It’s served with Orange Blossom Honey ice cream, Fennel Pollen Meringue kisses and it all has a GLITTERY honey glazed drizzled on top!! Beautiful and absolutely delicious!

Next stop, France at the Fleur de Lys cart for a glass of La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush which is Grey Goose Vodka L’Orange, St. Germain Liqueur, and White and Red Cranberry juices – Absolutely PERFECT for a steamy spring day! For dessert we tried the Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette, because a huge chocolate macaron lollipop couldn’t accent a tasty beverage more appropriately! This was probably my favorite stop all day… France never disappoints me!

Our last stop was to the Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews. This stop had Hubs’ name written ALL OVER IT! He ordered us the Beef Brisket Burnt Ends and Smoked Pork Belly Slider which included garlic sausage, chorizo, cheddar fondue, and a house-made pickle; with a Shipyard Maple Bacon Stout to accompany it. Locally brewed in Clearwater, FL!! And for dessert, the Warm Chocolate Cake with Bourbon-salted Caramel sauce and Spiced Pecans. This stop was definitely Hubs’ favorite. The savory flavors stole his heart right away.

We finished our day with a celebratory Flower & Garden Festival Passholder pin and we couldn’t be more ready to go back for some of the concert series!

Disney NEVER disappoints!
