Epcot International Festival of the Arts (2018)

Epcot International Festival of the Arts (2018)

The first Epcot festival of the year is upon us. Yes, I’m talking about the Epcot International Festival of the Arts 2018!! As most of you know by now, my husband and I are dedicated Disney Annual Passholders and we love every second of it. We were all too excited to run off to Epcot to take part in the festivities and I thought I’d share what the Festival of the Arts really has to offer.

Of course, Art.

The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is a festival celebrating all types of art. All along the World Showcase you’ll find booth after booth of art exhibits offering paintings, prints, and even a few figurines for sale. Each booth offers either a different style or a different artist all together. We fell in love with the Star Wars art we came across but we can never resist going home with a Darren Wilson print. He’s definitely our favorite Disney artist.

No Epcot festival would be complete without some themed food.

As the true Epcot foodies that we are, we couldn’t resist stopping to try so of the themed food offered at the different countries along the World Showcase.

First stop The Deconstructed Dish:

Dish we ordered: Deconstructed Reuben – which consisted of Shredded Corned Beef, Thousand Island Dressing, Pickled Red Cabbage, and a Rye Curl

Beverage we ordered: Deconstructed Breakfast – which consisted of Twinnings Spiced Apple Chai Tea Shake garnished with Maple Syrup, a Waffle Crisp, and Candied Bacon. They also offered an alcoholic version which contained Cream Bourbon rather than Maple Syrup.

We liked both liked the Reuben but the breakfast shake was definitely the highlight of the booth.

When in France we visited “L’art de la Cuisine Française” (the art of French Cooking):

Dish we ordered: Le Coucher de Soleil which consisted of Sunset Mango and Raspberry Cake

Beverage we ordered: Frosé which consisted of Frozen Côtes de Provence Rosé wine with Grey Goose Vodka and Peach Purée

The Frosé was great on an 80 degree, sunny Florida day but at this booth the cake takes the cake! It was delicious!!

Our final stop was The Artist’s Table at the American Adventure:

Dish we ordered: Pan-seared Scallop with Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper Coullis and Parmesan Crisp (this is a Gluten Free menu option)

Beverage we ordered Callebaut Belgian Sipping Chocolate Flight which consisted of White, Milk, ands Dark Chocolate. They also offered an alcoholic version which contained Dark Chocolate with Chambord.

Both items at this booth were absolutely phenomenal!! I especially loved the sipping chocolate, but who wouldn’t?!
