Neverland Nursery

Neverland Nursery

Peter Pan was one of my favorite movies growing up. It perfectly encapsulates timelessness and the joy of “never growing up”. So when we found out we were having a baby boy we knew we had to give him the best Neverland Nursery possible!

To Target we went!

The Neverland Nursery theme has got the best blend for a boy! You’ve got pirates, lost boys, Indians, adventure, and just a hint of magic! The only problem is, it’s incredibly hard to just walk into a store and find stuff for a theme like this. (Really, it’s hard to find anything cute for boys these days. Everything is geared towards girls! Am I right or just looking in the wrong places?!) So we had to get crafty.

Blue is always the base color for boys, right? That’s where we started. We painted the room a nice dusty blue and found this great rustic looking 4-in-1 convertible crib and dresser to match. I found this kid’s teepee at Target for the Indian camp part of Neverland.

I also found some adorable nautical crib sheets, an “adventure awaits” sign, and a crocodile stuffed animal! (Doesn’t Target just have some of the cutest stuff? It’s one of my favorite stores so be prepared to see it mentioned a lot!)

We found a decorative ship’s wheel on Amazon, a map of Neverland (we ordered ours on Etsy and LOVE it), and we made a lantern with Tinkerbell in it to light his room at night! Arrow changing pad cover and nautical lamp to add more indian camp mixed with pirate theme to complete the Neverland look.

He has a Disney reading corner that Hubs made for him and we got an oar door hook (again, from Target of course)

Lastly, I made him a “Never Grow Up” banner to finish off the room. I am absolutely in LOVE with how it’s turned out and I know T will too!!

I hope what we’ve put together helps you create the best Neverland Nursery for your little one as well!
