Monster Candy Apples
Looking for Kid-Friendly Halloween treats? These Monster Candy Apples are perfect for kids to decorate! I’m all about easy to make recipes and this one is always a hit!

What you’ll need:
3c Granulated Sugar
1/2c Light Corn Syrup
1c Water
1/2t Black Food Coloring Gel (or Green/Blue any color really)
10 Apples (washed and wax-free)
Candy Thermometer
Candy Apple Sticks
Halloween Candy Eyeballs/Bones/Fangs (I found a set at Target)
Cookie Sheet lined with wax paper

Step One
Bring corn syrup, water, and sugar to a boil.
Step Two
Add food coloring and stir until completely blended. Let boil for 15-18 minutes or until candy is 310 degrees.
Step Three
Put sticks into washed apples, dip them into candy, and place them on the wax paper lined cookie sheet to cool for 5 minutes.
Step Four
Once they’re nice and sticky, take your Halloween candy and let the kids get creative!
Step Five
Let them harden in the refrigerator for about an hour and then they’re ready to eat.
