Homemade Baby Food Recipes

For me, making my homemade baby food was a no-brainer from the start. I love to cook and having to be creative to provide meals that are both healthy and tasty for my new little one sounded like fun…until I realized how hard it was to find homemade baby food recipes. One day I just started with the fruits and veggies I had in the house and I ended up with a ton of baby food my little one LOVED!

The trick is to trick them into loving veggies!

Carrot + Green Bean + Pear Puree

Ingredients
  1. 1/2c Carrots, peeled and chopped
  2. 1/2c Green Beans, trimmed and chopped
  3. 2 Pears, cored and chopped
Instructions
  1. Place carrots, green beans, and pears into a steamer pot over boiling water, cover, and steam for 10 minutes.
  2. Once fully cooked, slowly pour ingredients into food processor and puree to desired consistency.
  3. Add water from steamer pot to loosen the mixture if need be.
Notes
  1. Lasts about 4 - 5 days in the refrigerator; Can be frozen for up to 3 months.

Banana + Pineapple + Avocado Puree

Banana + Pineapple + Avocado Puree

Ingredients
  1. 1/2 Banana
  2. 1/4c Pineapple
  3. 1/4 Avocado
Instructions
  1. Peel and chop all ingredients and place in blender until desired consistency.
Notes
  1. Serve immediately.

Ingredients
  1. 1c Mango, peeled and chopped
  2. 1 Banana, peeled and chopped
  3. 1 Apple, peeled and chopped
Instructions
  1. Place all chopped ingredients into blender and blend to desired consistency.
  2. Add water from steamer pot to loosen the mixture if need be.
Notes
  1. Lasts 3 days in refrigerator; Freezes up to 3 months.
